
Charlotte Crosland
Charlotte is a composer and sound designer located in Toronto, Ontario. She has a creative background in singing, piano and contemporary composition from Wilfrid Laurier University, and a technical background in film and game audio from Sheridan College.
Charlotte has worked as a composer on film projects including Romario and Role of a Lifetime, and as audio designer on game demos such as Windo, and Apartment 202. She has also been an active participant in the online and Toronto game jam communities since 2021. During the Buddy Up Game Jam in February 2022, Charlotte worked as the sound designer and dialogue editor for the game Totzilla, which ended up being ranked first out of 45 submissions by the community.
Using her technical and creative background, Charlotte builds custom synth instruments for herself as well as other composers, using both sound recordings and her own vocal samples to create the instruments. Her water drop instrument commissioned by composer Janal Bechthold was used to score the dark drama Rock The Cradle in 2022.
In December 2022 she co-founded the Toronto-based development studio CubeFruit Games while participating in the studio incubator program Damage Labs. As both the Audio Director and the Director of Operations at CubeFruit, her work involves overseeing the creation and implementation of all audio assets into their game projects, as well as the management, planning and outreach operations of the company.
