Charlotte Crosland

Charlotte is a media composer, singer-songwriter, and music teacher located in Toronto, Ontario. She has studied voice with Marion Samuel-Stevens, Joni NehRita and Daniel Cabena, and piano with Linda Shaw. She studied contemporary composition with Linda Catlin Smith, and film scoring with Felipe Tellez, Charles Finlay and Virginia Kilburtus. She has also studied recording, mixing and mastering with Justin Gray. She holds an Honours Bachelor of Music in Contemporary Music from Wilfrid Laurier University (2019) and a Graduate Certificate from Sheridan College in Music Scoring for Screen and Stage (2021).

She has performed as an improvisor since 2018 and was part of the collective The Yacht Club in 2019. She is a film and video game composer and multimedia visual artist, combining video art and sound. Her favourite genres of exploration are science-fiction, magic realism, and inter-generational ties, which she incorporates into many of her artistic endeavours. She most recently completed scoring the short documentary, Romario.
